And it's delicious. It doesn't taste a bit like "goat" like most people think, largely because of our herd management and milk handling practices. BUT we are not a licensed dairy, and so we can't sell milk legally to the public for human consumption. We do sell it for soap- and lotion-making, or for pet food, It is organic, corn-/soy-free from our grassfed goats. We test the coliform count (CC) and anaerobic plate count (APC; all bacteria present, both good and bad) regularly. Our CC averages 0 per mL, and our APC averages about 250 per mL. Both measures are WELL below the Federal regulations, which require raw milk contain no more than 10 coliform per mL and no more than 1oo,ooo APC per mL.
It's $8/qt., and that includes a $2 deposit on the glass mason jar and lid (bring it back and take $2 off your next quart).
